Do you mean the Seaview, Sandra? Another restaurant may not be a bad idea depending on what it is. I was stopped by some American tourists recently asking if there were any seafood restaurants here as their B & B owner (town centre) told them there would be loads here. I felt a bit emabrrassed sayin...

Re: fish disaster

On the way back home we stopped at the fishmonger on the harbour - the girls stayed in the car as daddy was sent in to buy the fish for tea all by himself. Big mistake. I went there yesterday to get turbot. 4 fillets cost me £16! I kept the shocked look under control I think, but was a bit miffed ...

Wa-hey!
Just to be pedantic, George didn't have an Aunt Fanny.
Fanny was in "The Magic Far Away Tree" series, with the Saucepan man etc. Can remember the names of the other humans, though.

I just noticed at the weekend that Klick/Munro on the High Street are closing in November.
But progress seems to be being made with the Thai take-away in the former gents clothes shop next to Acorn. That's been a lengthy refurbishment.

Cost is supposed to be about £300 per individual, is that right? And we pay for this ourselves. What happens to unemployed/ people on low incomes? Do they still have to pay or would it be free/discounted?
If it wouldn't have stopped 9/11 etc what are the benefits really?

Missing Cat (Another One)

My neighbour came to me last night to say a stray cat had been found in our stair. It is rather skinny, so presumably has been missing for a while. Ed,
My old stair used to be cleaned by Dustbusters of Penicuik. I think they did house cleaning as well. It was owned by a guy called Nick and his surname was a Polish one. Never had my house cleaned by them, but it's a starting point.
