I'm moving house in some weeks - just up the road to Northfield. Still be coming back to Portobello for my shopping.
Easy parking is not often available in Bath Street. Would anyone know if I can reserve some space for a few hours to load a van? And if so who would I contact?
Thanks in advance

George Haggarty - pottery shards
Anyone know how I get in touch with George Haggarty? I read his article in The Reporter on "Archaeological Investigations at Local Site". I have some bags of pottery shards collected from the Figgate Burn.
Thanks in advance.

I was impressed by the speedy response I got from the police when someone was trying to break into my flat opposite the doctors' surgery in the High Street when I was in at the time. Took 2/3 minutes for two police to come round. It was a couple of years back. I now live in Bath Street and heard the...

Re: Jet Skys and Speed boats
I like the sound of people enjoying themselves on the beach. I don't like the mechanical buzz of jetskis. I particularly dislike the way I've seen them plough through birds. Such as duck familys where the older ones are able to get out of the way. And I think I see less of the young.

It is important that as many people as possible who may be affected by this change of use put in an objection to the Planning Department as soon as possible. The final date for objections is 26/9/03. The planning number is 03/03222/FUL at http://citydev-portal.edinburgh.gov.uk/publicaccess/dc/dcapp...

Re: Proposed Housing Development at Fun Park
Can you clarify for me exactly where the Fun Park is? I think I know but would like to check for sure.Kevin wrote:We have received notice that there is to be an application made for housing to be built on the Fun Park site.
Do you know what sort of building(s) they are proposing?
