Hi Bob It is a compliment to Jonathan and a polite way of saying (in my opinion) Gregor Development / Properties / Shore are not real speculative developers. I don't know who the poster Sylvanian is but if you read his posting - he knows what I'm on about. I will come back and explain once I have ha...
Media Hype
In the earlier news reports the Veiled Lady was a Teaching Assistant but now the media refer to her only as a Teacher and there is a big difference between the two.

Dear Jonathan
Are you the owner of the ground floor accommodation at the foot of Bath Street and do you know if the residents in the old building above the pub (26 Promenade) will be notified?

Immediate Neighbours
Dear Brenda
Is there a difference between immediate neighbours and neighbours? I ask because only three flats were notified in this block (old tenement Foot of Bath Street / Promenade). Those were the three flats above the chip shop each with a side window looking on to the fenced land.

Who Funds this Forum and Website
I wondered if the funding came from Council Tax or a Lottery Grant but most people say it is a Labour Party Funded Board.
Is this true because it should be impartial.

But have you tried HADDOCK fish fingers. Haddock fillets. Not to be confused with the reformed cod which parents feed to their children. They are also a bit more expensive.

My maternal ancestors were clock makers. They made large out door clocks as well. They also made watches, scientific instruments and were "working jewellers". Every community needs a chiming clock because people meet up and chat and ..... time passes. H R Millar who made the Police Station clock are...

Yes, I'd like to read it as well but will have to wait for it to go online. Here at the Foot of Bath Street/Promenade .... it feels as if no-one knows we're here. The Wrong Mrs Whittaker
Last Thursday my friend received a letter from a man who is researching the Codona Fairground Family. He explains that he is trying to trace any information about a Mr and Mrs Whittaker who were living in Portobello in the early 1900's. They were at one point involved with the Codona Fairground Fami...
