Re: Bath Street Traffic Restrictions
Residents were advised that the notice about Bath Street was posted in The Evening News and that appears to count as 'consultation' !

Re: Pedal - funding unsuccessful
This make me really sad. It takes a while for organisations to establish themeselves and from what I can see, PEDAL were moving very much in the right direction.

Thanks, Bob and Mark. I'll probably attempt a mixture of teaching myself (I can read music) and a proper tutor.

Happy New Year you lot. My aquisition of a digital piano is imminent (be grateful, neighbours, that a digital one has a headphone socket!). Anyway, can anyone reccommend a good piano teacher to get me off to a good start ? Equally, if there're any you think I should avoid..... (maybe PM about those)...

I rarely post on the forum but, I have been a resident of Porty for nearly 20 years and in terms of the Community Council can't remember EVER being consulted on my views about the area. In terms of the BL Developments proposal, I am deeply concerned that PCC are speaking on behalf of me, yet no atte...

Porty's rowing past - an exhibition
Porty’s very own skiff, ‘Icebreaker’ is now a familiar sight on the sea front. If you haven’t seen it yet, pop down and have a look. I Some of you will be aware that Porty had a thriving rowing past. Myself and Bob J. are trying to gather memories, photos etc to document this, for a local exhibition...

I'd just like to add my voice to the PRO Hovercraft bunch! I coped fine with the trial period and had a trip to Fife in it. I also live on the Prom, so am well used to noise at all times of day and night.....particularly the random, rogue fireworks which go off every few months in the small hours, a...

PORTY FESTIVAL
Just to say a big well done and thanks to all those involved in yesterday's Porty Festival. It was a good day, I enjoyed it and and know that others did as well. It was nice to see kids of all ages and adults having a good time together and the event shows loads of potential as a future event. I was...

That's brilliant news. I'm really pleased. They're wee b*ggers. One of my Tonkinese house cats once got out somehow. In total distress, I searched the streets, the beach and for some reason the roof throughout the night, but no sign. I live on the Prom and had to go to work the next day. I walked to...

plasterer needed
Anyone had any plastering done recently and could reccomend someone? I need a bit of a ceiling replastered and a section of cornice needs a bit attention. 4 plasterers so far have gone to the bother of looking at it and deciding it's 'too small a job' ! Do I need to make it worse before anyone'll do...

Top marks to everyone for all the effort involved in getting the Porty Sailing Club underway. Strange place to put this request ...but you're a good lot on Porty online... I am looking to rehome my 2 siamese cats, who are 1 year old, very handsome brothers. I am looking for a tolerant and experienced new owner for them who can cope with their general mischief. I'd hope to find someone in Por...

I've just come back from holiday and seen all the gardens. What a truly brilliant idea and a lot of fun. Well done to all the artists and to everybody for donating their garden. Let's do this again!

For the last few days, there have been people working inside the pub at the foot of Bath Street. They appear to be painting it today. Anyone know the latest?
