why a corded kettle.

It is to put into a stand which she is getting from the O.T. so as she doesnt have to carry or lift it up to fill it. This is an aid for the disabled but I have been told the only kettles that work in these stands are corded, if I am wrong let me know.

I am trying to buy a corded kettle not a cordless one. I have been round quite a few shops tesco woolworths argos john lewis etc but to no avail. Does anyone know a shop that stocks a corded jug kettle. I can get one of the small ones that you find in hotel rooms but dont really think that will be b...

milton road roadworks.

I came up from musselburgh this morning in a bus and it took from hotel (cant remember its name) on the milton road to the roundabout 40minutes. I travel up there 7 days a week and since the roadworks started, this morning was the worst of all. It would help the buses if no cars were allowed to park...

No dont want to do that. I have bought more, and this lot are tightened up with a key, the little boys have tried to get them off (very persistant they are) but did'nt, so hopefully they will give up.

I agree Woodwares is a very good shop and the assistants are brilliant apart from one. The big chap I find not very helpful, everything is a bother to him, he ruins a visit to the shop.

New pavements at adelphi place.

As I am writing this there are two vans parked on the new pavement which was just all relaid a few months ago. This should not be allowed as this is how the pavements get damaged. Dont understand workmen. ALSO they have dug up the road again at adelphi place, must still be looking for gold!!!

Bill can you tell me why your phone numbers are listed for the car boot sale. I have just phoned and the female who answered, told me just to turn up on the day. dont understand the reason for this, i assumed it was so as people who wanted to participate could book a place in advance.

Whats happened to the staff in banks in portobello. They are such an unhelpful bunch that i have ever met. they are the ones that are always right, not the customer as it used to be. Think they should start a charm school for them they really need to be nicer. anyone else find that, or is it only me

trouble in porty high st. sunday night

Anyone know what all the trouble was about on sunday at 9 PM, at the galleon pub, lot of police attended. The ormelie had problems as well so it seems.
