If anyone can add any further information, please post here or get in touch with Jim (Jimed) directly.My Grandfather, who died in 1949, was an Edinburgh Town Councillor and Baillie representing Portobello for many years. We actually had a Baillie's special lamp post outside the house which was taken down again after his death.
He was also Captain of the St Phillip's Boys Brigade for many years, and club champion at Portobello Bowling Club, in one period alternating several times with my father Robert Edward.
