Anyone else catch 'Scotland on Film' on BBC 1 this evening? It has been an excellent series and this evening's programme, on the theme of leisure, included film footage of Portobello's outdoor pool. We watched it too! It brought back some chilly memories 
When we were young(er) we used to queue up at the beginning of the season and the first boy and girl in got a free season ticket. I was quite lucky because my friend's aunty worked on the door anyway so we usually managed to get in free. To my shame I have to admit that I never, ever managed to get onto the raft 
but I did manage to free my bum off trying to look cool (or should that be warm?) posing on the side!
