does anybody know any streaming sport sites which don't require you to install a 3rd party app (like real or whatever) and let you listen to the Ashes via Windows Media Player?

emergency streaming cricket request
I'm amazed at how popular cricket has become with this current Ashes series. On Thu. two of my first year pupils were talking very knowledgeably about the players, one of the teachers borrowed my radio so she could tune into the commentary in the Pupil Support Base and the flat screen in the foyer was tuned into the match all day so the jannies could keep up with the score. There was a constant stream of pupils asking to go to the toilet/office/library, so they could find out the latest from the screen. No-one even mentioned the football. Bizarre!

It's a staffed base for pupils, who for a variety of reasons are out of subject classes. It could be that they are on a part-time timetable for health reasons and are gradually being integrated back into full-time schooling, or that they are disruptive and are on the verge of being excluded from full-time schooling or that they have moved from another school and have studied French, say, at their old school, while their year group have all studied German so they can't join the class.....that sort of thing. They work on individualised programmes of learning with support from the staff in charge. It is very successful for the majority of pupils who are referred there.
