You weren't the only one experiencing some technical difficulties, Dada.
After you kindly volunteered me as an on-line advice center, I had to open up a telephone help line as well!!!!!
I like all kinds of cake.

Radio Free Porty have now swept out their server
sorry if there is a hiccup with any of your browsers trying to get to radiofreeporty.org - it's as

please remind me in the future not to download cracked software from the internet that contains about a squillion viruses and adware thingies.

Okay, I have an address for Dada's choccy, I need an address for ECM and Ali's too, or do I just send it to the station?

Hi all...
Have gone through the last 15 pages and can't find this so appologies if this has been mentioned (I'm sure it must have been).
If you are still looking...
Is there any limits on who can DJ (if that's the term) and what music can be played.
I'm from Leith (just in case you didn't know) but wouldn't mind playing a bit of rock on the 'airwaves' from time to time. Stepped in too hospital radio once or twice in my teens and quite enjoyed it.
Also how do we get it out - do we produce MP3's and send them in or come in to Elm Row?
Cheers

The only limit is that the sounds you give us are within the audible range for humans - that is, I'm not broadcasting an hour of dog whistles. Apart from that - it's all good.
By all means make up a disc and drop it into Elm Row. Please organise your "shows" into hour-long folders of files, with a text file in each folder detailing the order you want them played in.
Can I take this opportunity to say hello to any press or copyright police who are monitoring this conversation - you should join in!!!

CALLING ALL DJS
Now that our discussions are being monitored not only by the press but also by the license cops, I've made a private area on the RFP site itself for any discussions which may arise.
There's no way I want to remove RFP chat from POL, but I don't want to get POL in trouble either.
At this point, please register over there to reserve your dj name.
I will PM you (here on POL) with the password for the dj forum.

Ah, if only we still had a pier, we could make certain people walk the plank off the end where they would be cruelly mauled by ducks.

Hello Rapunzell
Yes! Please! Take it - it's yours! Just be sure not to tell anyone where you got it.
JP.
PS. Do I get some chocolate as well?

Hi all
and thanks for the kind remarks on my set
it was just just something I threw together in a few moments last week after 30 years' worth of preparation
of course I wouldn't have bothered at all were it not for the staggering quality of your own stuff
and thanks a million for the avatar Dadaist - how could you have known that one of my all time fave poem's about a father and son who can't agree on anything apart from their shared passion for Cagney's White Heat
I'm away from Porty til next week but will dig it out and post it up when I get back
until then amigos....

Well, I'm gonna put on iron shirt, and hopefully I'll be able to chase Satan out of Eart. So quite comfortable with concept of War In a Babylon and ting. I tink so anyway.
