Got a nice wee reminder form Bob that this forum exists and as I've found it useful and wish to support it I thought I'd do a bit of blethering.
Firstly, isn't it grand to live in Porty when the sun is shining? Everything seems that little bit better and I realise how very happy we are here. We've enjoyed the Easter Hols with our two wee boys who are fortunately still of the age where the best thing in the world is to pack a picnic and head off to the park for the day. We have a fantastic sunny back garden where the boys play in. Unfortunately the only problem we have with this garden (main reason we bought the house) is that a tiny minority of adults and children in the adjecent tenement flats (at top of Bath Street) insist on leaning out their windows hurling general unsavoury comments to all unsundry at maximim volume. If not that then very loud music replaces it. However, when the music and noise are of a happy tone and at reasonable level all is well in our world and we love Porty.
On a more positive note, have people heard the plan for a few days (or it might be a week) of events taking place in Porty for us folk in the middle of August? A friend of ours has told us of all kinds of plans for summer events including a parade etc. It sounds fantastic and I'm looking forward to it. If you already know about this via another post please excuse me and if you want to know more let me know. I'm not involved in organising it but I know a person who is, if you get my drift.
OK. Off out to enjoy the sunshine. Hope everyone has a great Easter Weekend.
Nicky
