HELP please

Post by susie » 21 Feb 2007, 14:23

I am trying to buy a corded kettle not a cordless one. I have been round quite a few shops tesco woolworths argos john lewis etc but to no avail. Does anyone know a shop that stocks a corded jug kettle. I can get one of the small ones that you find in hotel rooms but dont really think that will be big enough. thank you

Have you tried Woodwares? Or any of the other Mica stores?

My mums visually impaired and she dislikes having a cordless kettle. it takes her ages to find the kettle bit.

...but surely even with a corded one you had to unplug the cord to take the kettle to the sink to fill it up...and then go back and find the cord.....or am I being dim

why a corded kettle.

It is to put into a stand which she is getting from the O.T. so as she doesnt have to carry or lift it up to fill it. This is an aid for the disabled but I have been told the only kettles that work in these stands are corded, if I am wrong let me know.

Susie

There are cordless kettle tippers that are relatively new on the market. It could be that they are not yet available on the OT core list. If you type cordless kettle tippers into google you will find a selection, though will probably work out more expensive than if you were to buy a corded kettle. Have you asked OT for a cordless kettle tipper?
