Portobello FP Rugby Club's Big Weekend

Post by Porty » 15 Apr 2008, 21:16

Firstly, if you have not visited their newly refurbished clubhouse yet you are in for a big surprise. It is now perfect for functions of up to about 120 people (18th Birthday parties are not catered for as a general rule) and is fitted out to George Street standards. Have a look:http://www.portyrugby.com/news/2007-200 ... eopens.asp

Much more importantly; this weekend sees the 1st XV play Clydebank in the Semi-Final of the SRU plate. the winners will play on the international pitch at Murrayfield on Saturday May 3rd, which is Cup Final Day.

The match on Saturday is home at Cavalry Park at 3pm and is without doubt the club's biggest match for at least 10 years. They would love some extra support. There are a lots of connections to PFPRFC here on TP not least Ed, our one time frequent poster who captains the team.

Please come along and meet PoP and I on Saturday before the match and I'm sure we will buy you a pint.

I was there too. Mind you I'm blind at the best of times and couldn't even see the people in the "school" corner. How does Mr S know the host?
