We had booked the Dragonway in Bath Street tonight for our pals birthday. Table was booked for 7p.m. Orders taken at 7.20 , 7.45 told sorry no prawns for 2 of the starters , 2 alternatives were also unavailable. The orders for the main courses had not even been put on . Have never done this before but paid for drinks and walked ...................All the way along to Reds where we had a terrific meal in a convivial atmosphere.
Guess where we will NOT be going again. Anyone else had a bad experience ???

Glad we're not the only ones with a bad experience there. We think it may have changed hands after being closed for a very lengthy period in Jan. Last meal we had there was a take away and was not good, it was a real disappointment as it had been closed for so long and the food was great before.magbagpuss wrote:We had booked the Dragonway in Bath Street tonight for our pals birthday. Glad your evening turned out ok, although convivial and Reds aren't two words I'd have put in the same sentence but I have only been in day time when The 'waitress' has been on.

I also noticed that the large Dragons way restaurant in south clerk street is also closed (although it does look like its being refurbished). Looks like the original folk may have sold up. I have to admit that I have only ever had a take away from there (Bath Street) and it was great food and good value. My last couple have not been so good, but not a complete disaster.

Is that the girl who when you ask for a milkshake she says, are you sure as I will have to make it from scratch...Puerto bella wrote: Glad your evening turned out ok, although convivial and Reds aren't two words I'd have put in the same sentence but I have only been in day time when The 'waitress' has been on.

My lasting memory of her is being in there with my sis and 4 kids between us and them not being able to make up their minds what to have to eat. It was one of those moments like you used to get at school, when you knew you were not meant to giggle. The more rude she was, the more we procrastinated. Then we had the cheek to ask for cakes after our main courses! She was aghast that she had to walk all of 10 paces back to the servery. Clearly, not a 'people' person.
