Please, please drive carefully and be patient
Please clear your windscreens, lights and roof
Been hearing on the radio that Lothian and Borders police will stop cars with snow on the roof, £60 fine and 3 penalty points
Wish the police had been around this morning, I saw a car turn into Brighton Place with just a peephole cleared on ONE side of the windscreen, cant see how that is at all safe in anybody's mind

Re: Driving in the snow
Someone told me they saw a police van with a foot of snow on top of it in Porty!
Re: Driving in the snow
I've heard the same rumour about snow on the roofs of cars. Although it is safer to clear it, the news was saying that the penalty threat is not true.

Re: Driving in the snow
I just heard that it's rumour < blushes>
It was being reported as true on Radio Forth this morning
Mind you if it did make folk clear their cars and drive a bit better it can't be all bad
Most drivers are being considerate but there's still a few that feel they are exempt from any common sense
The gritters and ploughs are doing their best but it's snowing faster than they can clear
They've even got a wee machine trying to clear the car parks in the Infirmary.
