What are you up to at New Year?
We made it along the Prom about 12.45 a.m. Was it just me or did it feel as if there were more drunken teens (mostly 14/15 year olds) around this year? We saw an ambulance leave and heard that a teenager had 'glassed' another teen and an adult.Poppy wrote:Bonfires along beach and fireworks here, and along East Lothian and Fife coasts. Like being in a war zone!! Tons of peeps on Prom, too.
Not the atmosphere that I remember from the past couple of years

Certainly were at about 9.30 at various places along High Street and Prom, although didn't see many on way home at 11.30. Thought they'd been run out of town, but obviously not! Pity that there was violence as a remarkable number of children were at midnight about and it would be a shame if this year put people off next year. Was it just me or did it feel as if there were more drunken teens (mostly 14/15 year olds) around this year?
Well, the Computer siezed up on Hogmanay and, of course, Mrs. Rathbone had vital work which she hadn't backed up and which is needed for work on Tuesday, so my New Year's day was spent hacking into the computer via DOS and recovering all the files which Mrs. Rathbone had been working on, locating the problem, fixing the **** thing and then putting all of her stuff back on again.
It's not too difficult to do that on a couple of Laphroig's and a mince pie.

I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.
If you Google Bath Street, there are 6,970,000 sites which might help you!!!! Of course, it depends if you're coming from the Prom end or the High Street, (Mentone Avenue and Straiton Place merely add to the problem). I usually ask the taxi driver just to drop me off at the George.Marya wrote:Rathbone ...... Do you think you could find Bath Street for me?

Mr T is just on his way out to see if he can get some cream for it. He'll kill me if he finds out I've told anyone that
