That made me laff! But it's all wrong. Angus is bald now!

I saw him nearly 30 years ago (the real Angus, that is, and the rest of AC/DC).
It was in 1976 (I think) at the Leith Town Hall of all places. There were a series of gigs there at the time that were sponsored by Sounds music paper.
If you took a voucher cut from the paper along you got in for a quid.
I might be making this next bit up, but I honestly recall something along the lines of if you turned up with said voucher and a banana you got in for 50p.

I was only 8 then! Didn't appreciate them then....of course I've seen em since, but only with Brian Johnston, sadly not Bon who was far better.

All I remember about them is the spectacularly loud volume that they played at.
Oh, and how stupid Angus looked.

Don't worry, it took us some time to pluck up the courage to spladoosh other POLers.

I had the unusual experience on Sunday of being spladooshed by a fellow POLer...for another forum

! This spladooshing lark is getting out of hand - I can't even post on other forums without being bagged by POLers!

Hi Bellybabe,
If your post is referring to me, I didn't spladoosh you, I just made a polite enquiry. I would not have the temerity to spladoosh a board moderator in case you took umbrage and barred me and what would life be without POL.

As if I would, dear, as if I would.
And of course we always have
the other board away from the prying eyes of POL...or at least, so I thought...! Maybe everyone here is a member of there too?

He does look young doesn't he? Wasn't sure I was too pleased that you thought that he was my son.

Yeah, me & Porty have this "Luke 'n' Darth" thing going on.
I may look young but there's a portrait of me in my attic that looks terrible though.
I'm so peeved I got bagged. I though I had done the bagging by having Seanie and the Connellys pointed out to me.
None of them looked how I imagined either, especially Seanie.

Seanie looked like a sniper on the balcony.
Apologies to you both for my comment, I'm not sure who would feel more offended. In my defence, I did think Porty had a teenage son and there is a physical resemblence.

I'm fairly new to this posting on POL but I've figured out who a couple of folk are. Is there an etiquette involved in spladooshing that I should know about?
Tried it on Baby Dragon as she lay on the setee Wed. morning. She wasn't too impressed. Mind you she is off school with glandular fever so possibly thought it was a weird dream. Again.

If I recall correctly, you're supposed to approach said POLer, and state "You are [insert unsername here] and I spladoosh you!". Wasn't there some money then supposed to change hands, or is that just wishful thinking?

It was me who 'spladooshed' young Bruce who started this thread. Porty had posted Bruce's Higher results on POL earlier and as I walked through Brighton Park, Bruce was ahead of me, talking to a friend on his mobile about his results. I very politely interrupted his conversation, said 'Ah, you must be Bruce ?' then congratulated him on his results. He looked a wee bit surprised but didn't lose his cool for a minute, unlike his Dad the next day.
Bob and I jointly 'spladooshed' an unsuspecting Porty who seemed quite taken aback and said that Bob wasn't who he thought Bob was. As for me, he thought I was Gemini

You did not cross my palm with silver Bellybabe so I doubt if money changing hands was ever an issue.
