Belated Birthday Greetings Teddygirl :occasion9:

I'm intrigued by the vast array of ceramic honey-pots behind your new furry friend. Do you collect them as well as toy dogs and bears ?

Thank you all. Had a quiet birthday. Was supposed to go out and celebrate with Mr Soupy on Saturday night but was feeling so grottyy that we stayed in. Humpf. We had a takeaway and glass of wine last night and I'd had a wander round Ocean terminal with Clanger no 1 earlier that afternoon. Very pleasant.

Many happies dad of POP.

Is your birthday actually on the 25th, Cleopas? Is that why you're so grumpy about Xmas?

What do you mean, "now", Cleopas? Surely you've read the whole of this thread and know it's a POL tradition?

What????? No way am I going to read 25 soddin pages!!! I only LOOK stupid!!! :(

Yes Soupy, I have the unwanted and unloved distinction of having my birthday on the 25th of December.

In Roman times it was called Dies Natalis Solis Invictis ... The Day of the Birth of the Unconquerable Sun. It was also the Birthing Day of Mithras in the Persian Empire and central to several European pagan belief systems midwinter festivals.

You can understand why the Christians nicked it!

I just don't like the idea of millions of other people getting pressies on MY birthday!!!

Now, if some kind person were to give me a few old unwanted Trident missiles as a pressie, I could whittle that number down ... couldn't I? :)
