Well, I think Spring has finally arrived - what a gorgeous day, people in t-shirts, and strolling along the prom - some brave souls even paddling. Even got the washing out for the first time this year. Makes you feel so much better when the weather is good. Clocks change next weekend - yipee!

What happened to Spring? This long weekend has been hellish - it was actually sleeting when I walked Bess this morning - bet its sunny tomorrow when we are back at work.

Sandra, I knew it was cold but hadn't realised it had been that cold! Shame for the Easter parade and Easter egg rolling yesterday. But it is a great day for painting which is what we're doing today - at least we're not tempted to go out instead

Was quite surprised to see the crocuses out in Daisy Park - its only February

Was looking round the back green, the daffs are pushing through and lots of stuff seems to be budding!
Saw a bee flying past on Wednesday.
Wondered why the crocus I bought last year weren't coming up until I found them at the back of the cupboard,

Spring has definitely arrived chez Teddygirl..................there is activity in the pond with a bit of amplexus going on with the frogs.

This is the earliest ever in my pond. I don't usually have spawn until mid March.

We now have the daffodils, crocus, anemones and snowdrops all in bloom together. A nice combination that you only used to see on easter cards, never in real life. ( and some birds are doing naughty things in the nesting box

)

I know, lovely. They have nice window plants in http://www.plaisirduchocolat.com/salon of daffs, crocus, snowdrops etc. They also do a fab rose tea

which is to die for. You can only get it in either in the salon or France but...

I have found a very excellent alternative from http://www.brewhahaltd.com/products.htm (which was featured recently in Scotland on Sunday Home mag), you can also buy in Manna House, Easter Rd and Harvey Nics - divine

Our tulips and camelias came into bloom over the weekend.

At this rate I expect snow in July.

I've got a poor wee rosemary plant flowering outside, only one, the rest seem to be waiting. Wonder how it'll cope with the cold weather.

Did anyone else see the reports of streakers on Thursday. Didn't think it was that warm yet.

Guess whose husband decided that this was a good weekend to go climbing in Glencoe?

I went down to our allotment yesterday and wrapped the raspberry canes in some plant fleece. I later overheard my son tell his Dad on the phone that we had put some plant 'jerseys' on them

Must be spring, the traffic going through puddles is soaking everyone in Brighton Place and the pond is growing outside Thompson travel agents. Wouldn't say it was a big puddle but 2 jet skiers were eyeing it up.
