Christmas Lights in High Street

Post by Lizzie » 18 Dec 2003, 19:23

Does anyone know why we don't have the white lights we have had over the last few years on the trees outside the Town Hall this year? I think they looked really super.

How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you are?

Yes, I'm disappointed about this as well. The lights on the trees were a nice feature on the High Street. Unfortunately, they are not working and the Council does not seem to be prepared to repair/replace them. I believe the person to take this issue up with may be Ian McFadden of the street lighting section. On a more positive note I am assured that there are plans to improve the Town Hall decorations for next Xmas, if that's any consolation.

It may be Capital Christmas uptown but it's a bit of a token effort in Porty. Bah humbug! :(

Dissapointing to say the least - maybe I picked the right year to spend my first Xmas away from Porty - indeed I wouldn't be getting away with sitting on the beach if I was back home :D
