Most desirable street in Porty/Joppa?

Difficult one as there are lots of nice streets. I kind of like Elcho Terrace and Bedford Terrace. However, the sea views offered by the likes oF Esplanade Terrace are peachy too. WBC has been a great street to live in. What's your fave?

My fav would have to be Seaview Terrace for the view and lovely houses. I would say Argyle Crescent, but they get a lot of car crime?

Ormelie Terrace has always been my favourite but being on the main road would be a disadvantage so probably Bedford Terrace would win it for me.
Living in Bellfield Street is great though as it so handy for everything, corner shop one end,Prom the other and bus stop just round the corner. Nice wide street too.

I always liked Brighton Crescent, it had nice views of the park, and was great in the Summer

Elcho Terrace for me. I'd love a nose round one of the houses there.

Notice that the house in John Street that was the subject of the Action Group a couple of years back is up for sale again if anyone has upwards of Ã‚Â£500,000 to spend.

WBC is a very nice street too - pity about the pylons that run along the back of it and the likes of Argyle Street.

I also like the cottages in the Adelphi's - so much choice in Porty.

I've always like Vernon Cottages (down Pittville Street Lane) or Elcho Terrace, but I also really liked living in Marlborough Street (bottom end)

I rather like Adelphi Place, it has not changed too much over the years, the little house just over the bridge on the way to Rosefield is so pretty.

Brighton Place/WBC aslo very desirable - I especially like the detached Villas in WBC , they all have such beautiful front gardens.

I didn't realise till recently where Elcho Terrace is, I agree would defo like one of these houses - gorgeous.

Many favourites - anywhere higgledy or with mixed architectural styles. Oddball ornamentations, curved streets and cramped winding steps, lanes with tiny charming houses, and most importantly - streets where you can be dead nosy and see what other folk's front rooms look like.

Marya and I were trying to find a successor for our current role of Joint Chair of BRA at the BBQ on Saturday. We spotted a likely victim, sorry candidate, and called the lady over to inform her that we had jointly talent spotted her as having what it takes. Unfortunately the nice lady in question bides in Marlborough Street and is therefore not qualified to hold the post. We are still looking.

Had a good neb at Sandford Gardens on Saturday pm. Quite Ann Street-ish, really. Lovely to look at, but, having grown up in the New Town, I know how expensive they are to heat; and as for the curtains - well, my dear, WHAT a price!!
