There are now seven desktop backgrounds available for you to download and install. Simply choose the best size for your monitor and save the file to disk. Once the download is complete select the file and set as your desktop background.

I'm using the puddle on the Prom shot on my new 19 inch monitor at the highest resolution and it looks fantastic.

Now, if only we had a downloadable screensaver featuring some of wangi's photography. Wouldn't that be great?

Lovely, lovely pics but when I try to use as wallpaper on pc at work the pic is all blurry. help! At the moment I have it tiled but would rather have big pic.

Got it fixed, Bearcub sent it in proper resolution - tis braw!

Hmmm, these seem to have been lost in the recent flit. Anyway, there's now a screensaver too (the same images):

Download and extract the .scr file from the zip, right select and pick "Install" from the menu.

Lovely photos, but the logo is too intrusive... If it was semi-transparent it would still advertise the website without being so "in your face".

I've just put " Eastfield Waves" on as my wallpaper.
It really brightens up my screen!!

Thanks, have given them a rework (logo is now in a burn layer with 50% opacity, link 50% overlay) - a lot less "bang".

Just curious, Wangi. 1400x1050? Is this a Mac resolution? Doesn't conform to the standard 4x3 ratio of a PC monitor, and it seems a bit square for a widescreen laptop.

It is a 4:3 resolution - 1400 * 0.75 = 1050

It's what my laptop here is at (hence...)

gawd... All sorts of folk seem to be direct linking to these wallpapers, sponging off POL's bandwidth and using my images as a backdrop on their blogs and such nonsense...

Yup, same on my website. The bloggers at Xanga are especially bad. Fortunately, most of their sites get hardly any traffic.

Thanks Wangi, but I think we've reached the limits of my geek speak. Apache..? Isn't that something to do with Adam Ant? If it ain't plain vanilla HTML (or occasionally XML) I'm having nothing to do with it.

Seriously, thanks for the offer. But my website is hosted on a ludicrously cheap server, the only downside of which is that I can't do a custom 404 or refuse third-parties linking to my images. I could solve both problems by upgrading my hosting package, but the price would treble. And the folks at Xanga get seriously low traffic. Fifity page views a day is pushing it. Until my web hosts start cherging me for the amount of bandwidth I use, I'll stick where I am.

But thank you. I appreciate it.
