Shamanic Centre

Has anyone visited the Shamanic centre yet? I'm not sure what they do, or what they are selling. I wonder if it will be more successful than the dog collar shop which went before it, or the guitar string shop before that.

It's certainly an amusing addition to Portobello life, and I for one would like to welcome the Shamen to east Edinburgh.

On the subject of comedy shops in Porty - my nomination for funniest shop title has to be "Mike's Tackle Shop" - especially funny if you know somebody called Mike. Or are called Mike.

Anyway, this was my first post, so hello all.......

Welcome Surrealist, and everyone else who has joined our online community recently. And you managed to work out how to post an avator image. We are impressed! Can you tell us how you did it? Perhaps this will start a trend, although I hope you are not as scary as that in real life!

I don't know much about Shamenism. Sounds a bit too new-age for me but certainly preferable to the accessories shop for the dangerous dogs and their psycho owners. I thought Captains Grill (by day) becoming Le Capitaine (by night) was pretty funny. Salt and sauce with your pommes frites monsieur?

OK, I worked out the avator thing. I don't look as scary as this either!

Check out: http://www.deoxy.org/shaover.htm

Careful with the size of the avators, as from my experience on other boards pictures of that size will eat up bandwith like nothing else!

Happy new year when it comes to everyone.

Cool website - it appears they offer "Shamanism For Children" !!!

Not that you'd need to give a bunch of toddlers peyote or mescaline - kids are pretty trippy as it is.

I'm not sure I'll be sending my kid to "Shamanism For Children", although I would consider it before sending them to the local Sunday School.....

I did notice that they also offer drumming for children

this might be a very useful method in which to channel the energy of our children :?
