New Year's Day Promathon

Post by Guest » 02 Jan 2004, 11:49

We only remembered about this event around 09:30 on New Year's Day. We decided that our 10 year old son would like to take part in the junior race (despite the fact he had never shown any inclination to run unless there was a very good reason) and promptly dragged him out of bed. We invited one of his friends for moral support. They both completed the 2 mile course from the Cat and Dog home to Bath Street and back, much to our surprise and their apparent enjoyment.

This is a great event which takes place every year and deserves more publicity. If anyone has photos of either the junior or the 4 mile senior race I would be happy to post them. Meantime, if you are interested, the race results are at:

Good for your lad - and friend!
So let me get this straight, you decided that running was good so you got someone ELSE to do it? Sounds like a good plan to me!
Happy New Year!
