I assumed they were the markers for the triathlon, but I'm just guessing.

I thought they were markers for the keen swimmers - do not go beyond this point or something.

I've been wondering what they are too - it was suggested that it might be to stop jet-ski thingies coming too far in-shore.

Had a family walk along prom last night, past a bunch of folks playing ball games. Eldest asked me what those oprange things were for. I said I didn't know. Eldest said, "I think they're buoys or something." Other half then joined belatedly in the conversation and said, "There are GIRLS as well, you know!", at which point eldest looked terribly confused. I thought it best to point out he didn't mean the people playing ball but the orange things floating in the water. At which point other half looked extremely embarrassed.
All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

I asked the people who were putting them out and the buoys are to mark a swimming area!!!!! i.e. jet ski's aren't allowed inside it. Now we can swim in safety.

Unfortunately last year not all jet skiers paid heed to the buoys Gilo. The CC has suggested that the buoys be extended this year as far as the pumping station to stop loading at that point.

Has someone been out in the last 24 hours or less and sorted them out? Last night they were out of line and some practically on the beach at low tide at this end (Baths), but now they are waaaaaay out to sea in more or less a straight line?

Ah so they must have been moved at the weekend or yesterday.
Think I'd have noticed
Well yesterday afternoon I was stuck behind the Benidorm Boys( or girls )van, then cracking a whip over youngest son to get an essay done for going back to school today, needless to say he forgot to take it in, or take his phone, or his schoolbag, or his keys.....
