Mercedes opposite Kwik Fit

Anyone else seen this today? A Merc is parked directly opposite Kwikfit, in the inside lane for going forward, forcing you to sit in the outside lane as is heading up Fishwives' Causeway than into Porty.

On the back passengers window there is a printed notice apologising for parking in such a stupid manner, then going on to slate an individual for having a vendetta against local business.

Very, very strange. Didn't get a chance to read the whole thing as the lights changed!

Fascinating but sadly.....have just leaned out of my window on Porty High St from which I have a fabulous view of Kwik Fit (?!) and no Merc there now that I can see unless it is behind the bus stops....or parked somewhere else nearby - perhaps gone home for tea!.....

Was parked directly between the Pitz and Kwikfit, just in front of the traffic lights.

And I have just returned from a wild goose chase. Are you sure you didn't imagine this Jamesie?

I came back via Adelphi and popped into Rosefield Park, sadly BRABQ-less, and had a look at the tree that was burned down recently. It had a branch that overhung the Figgate Burn and had been used for years as a 'tarzan' by local kids.

I was in Findlay's buying my sausages when a massive downpour started. Thought a postponement till Sat 20th the most sensible option!

The guy who owns the Baileyfield Garage on Fishwives Causeway,
has, I believe has started parking his vehicles opposite Kwik fit, thereby
causing chaos at this junction!

Fair play to him, Davie is a busy guy and it isnt the greatest for parking around there.

Beg to differ here Robin, it's probably the best place in Porty for parking and/or aboandoning vehicles - 'Davie', has his pick-up parked on the pavement, notwithstanding his/client's other vehicles double parked outside his establishment. In effect, he is causing obstruction on the pavement, and narrowing the entrance to Fishwives Causeway!

During the day, its full of office workers and there is nowhere to park the only place to park is round the back and its quite secuded to leave cars there. I had one guy sniffing around my car there I wasnt too happy.

However I seen where the tow truck and merc was parked opposite Kwikfit and it isnt the best place specially during rush hour. I did notice attention signs but haven't read them.

I risked life and limb this evening by going into the road to read the sign.

It's very badly written and rambles on about a certain councillor. I've since forgotten the name but I think it was Brian something or other.
It seems that this Brian person is having all the locally based traffic wardens target this man's vehicles at the places he would normally park (illegally presumably?) and that is why he is parking where he is at the moment.

That would actually make sense as the double yellows run to the opening of the garage and obviously parking on the pavement is not allowed. Where the tow truck and merc was there is no yellow lines... Making a point one would presume.
