Unusual dead beastie

On my way back from my walk this morning I saw a rather unusual dead animal on the road (near the Red Giant) at first I thought it was a rat then I realised it was too dark and it had a furry tail. I can only think of a ferret or a mink that it could be. It is actually more mink coloured but didn't think we had any in this area
