Post by Sandra » 12 Sep 2005, 09:26

We were hearing all about your muscial extravaganzas at school as the King in the King and I :D "Shall we dance......" Excellent! :D

The girl who told me was at school with you (obviously) and I was saying she should go online - she'd probably know half of you here on POL.

:D :D :D :D Made us laugh!

I will able to answer all your questions. The subject has come up at least once a week for the last 30 years!

P.S. He still has the Programme which is priceless.

I saw the show in question. Porty strutted his sexist stuff admirably as I remember.

It'd be great to see the programme.
Get it scanned and on here, Porty.

Don't think there is a picture of the famous pantaloons in the Programme but there are a couple of crackers of the King. Perhaps the Pantaloons are in still in the wardrobe?

I dont have a scanner, which is just as well.

There is a pic of me in a turban thing, I offered to shave my heid but they said it wasn't neccessary. ECM, I never thought of King as sexist, more of a product of a sexist society. Anna eventually persuaded him to change his ways. He was on his death bed at the time. How very sad.

Yes, very sad. I don't remember your death bed scene. I've probably blocked it out over the years cos it was too distressing.

The PHS musicals were great fun and really quite professional considering.
