Thank You Kost Konscious

Post by Jackson Priest » 25 Sep 2005, 13:29

If you have been out on a friday night meeting people from, say, an internet forum, and stagger home at 2am, reeking of booze and tabs, go to bed but get up again within 5 minutes in order to watch a video, before lurching back into bed at 5am, foul-breathed and sweaty, it's a good idea to prepare your wife a beautiful meal the next evening in order to make amends for said behaviour. However, it is also a good idea to make sure you have all the essential ingredients in the house before preparing such a tasty feast, rather than discover at approx 8.30pm that what you thought was a bag of potatoes on the vegetable rack is in fact a bag of pears.

In such moments of despair, simply pop down to Kost Konscious, roam around the shop with a worried look, and they will ask you what you are looking for. "Potatoes! Ha ha! Yes we have!" Then pay for the potatoes, and re-enter your house, hoping that your wife hasn't noticed you've been out. If she does, just say "I thought I'd get a lottery ticket, but it was too late." You will receive a suspicious look, but no harm will be done.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Kost Konscious for saving my bacon, and ensuring we didn't eat tuna and mashed pears for our dinner last night.

You're right, we are dead common up this end. What's wrong with tuna nuggets, anyway?
