RFP - now in the Herald & Post!!

Post by Dadaist » 07 Oct 2005, 08:09

Sorry for yet another RFP thread, but imagine my surprise at us being on page 5 of the Herald & Post this week!

It's the same article as the EN, minus Larry's words at the end - and with a colour photo - so I assume it's been syndicated or something from the EN.

I don't think the H&P actually have any news stories of their own - it's always stuff you have aleady read in the EN a few days earlier. Great publicity though - I'm sure Pace is pretty pleased!

I never knew that. He's well chuffed with his colour photo. I don't know what their circulation is but this is great exposure.

Excellent stuff Dada. I'll need to actually read my copy this week before putting it in the bin

Newspapers in the bin? Tut tut Marya. I presume you mean "to be recycled"

yours pedantically (and probably extremely irritatingly)

Sorry to be pedantic but ther was no need for the word "Probably" in that sentence. :D

It's "there", not "ther". I am not sorry for being pedantic about your pedantic observation of Gedge's pedantry over Marya's environmental boobie.

Despite close scrutiny I regret to say I can find nothing in the last two posts about which to make a pedantic observation. In contrast I feel the word order in the sentence I have just written could be open to criticism.

A couple of appropriately placed commas would be in order.

In Linlithgow we get the West Lothian version of the H and P, but unfortunately the RFP article isn't in it

A bloke at work saw the list of songs on my desk for my next submission to Mr Dadaist. When I told him what it was for, he got quite excited and proceeded to tell me how Porty Free Radio ( ) had become so huge that extra bandwidth had already had to be bought, and that it was going to become a tv station within the year. He'd read it the night before in the H&P.

I lied and told him that apparently over 1000 people had tuned in to my last playlist, even though I knew it was only 1. (Me.)

I think we have a very significant audience share of the East Edinburgh community internet radio demographic.

significant meaning 100% of it?? :o

that should enable us to persuade some prominent local businesses to advertise at extremely reasonable rates.

It's a thread on the internet, so it's more of a starting point for a conversation about whatever than some sort of stale tract. These things are also highly dependent on the person who posted it - and because this is one of mine, people here know they can be as freeform as they choose. ok?
