Walk to School Week

Post by mr magnolia » 07 Oct 2005, 15:20

Well wtsw climaxed at Towerbank (is it just a Towerbank wtsw?) today with everyone dressing up as 'people of the world' - hurrah! a chance for the little ones to throw off the shackles of school uniform, kick their heels and show off their dress sense.

except my little eldest magnoliette, who has bad parents who forget about this type of thing and then have to escort her to school in a full uniform while her chums cavort around her in gleeful splendour....
(she thought my suggestion that she say she was dressed as a 'Scottish schoolgirl' was silly)

ps I was however quite excited to note that both PoP and sections of the magnolian clan (me!) are featured in the photo display on the way in to the 'big' school!

Yes, PoP has been talking about his starring role all day. Tut, tut on the fancy dress front Mr M.

Did you see the Jack Dee telling the joke about the subject? He says; just as they are about to fall asleep they announce that they are supposed to go to school as a Bee the next day. In the morning there are dozens of poorly made up "Bees", none of whon know why they are dressed as Bees. Most kids have a slapdash, thrown together costume. But as always, there is one perfect bee, beautiful gossamer wings and hovering about 4 inches off the ground.

That ain't a child of the porty's.

Yes I am sorry to say Mr M that Bob is correct. The leaflet I fished out from the depths of PoP Jr's School bag a while ago, did highlight that the week long walking event was international.

That is why the theme of today's fancy dress was to dress up as someone from elsewhere in the world (although I was struggling to work out where the Power Ranger had landed from! 8)
Justice delayed is justice denied.
