Double yellows in Rosefield

Hooray, hooray! After a 2 year wait Rosefield residents now at last have the parking restrictions they requested. The double yellows should deter selfish drivers from the dangerous practice of parking on corners and on 'Keep Clear' areas, while helping to ensure access for emergency and other service vehicles.

While a few (illegal) parking spaces will be lost, it will make the area much safer for drivers and pedestrians alike. And you can bet that local residents will be monitoring the situation to make sure that the regulations are rigorously enforced.

The new dance studio in Rosefield Avenue Lane, while a welcome development, has generated more traffic than expected. I'm sure that a fair number of the parents must live within easy walking distance and will soon realise that it's more trouble than it's worth to bring the car.
