Community Council meeting stuff

How do I ensure an issue is raised at the community council meeting in my absence or on behalf of someone else?

I've been trying to get a concrete block removed from the barricade on the Bath St ramp onto the beach to allow disabled access again, or the one in front of the arcade if they really must keep the Bath St one blocked, and nothing has been done or reasons given.

Who have you spoken to about it? Lawrence Marshall should be able to get this sorted for you.

Clarence said they were in charge but didn't do anything, the council said they'd look into it, and Lawrence Marshall's phone is always on his secretary's answer machine, but I'll try again tomorrow.

Failing that, he's usually pretty good at responding to email:

lawrence.marshall@edinburgh.gov.uk

...or you could just come along to the CC meeting tomorrow evening and button-hole him yourself?

What time, day and place is the next meeting of Porty CCouncil?

Is it always a regular day and place?

I was looking for it and couldn't find a posting - its probably plastered all over the front page of the forum but no joy when looking - can you let me/folks know ?

It's always the last Monday of the month, starting at 7:30 pm in the Baptist Church Hall, entrance on Porty High Street next to the Portobello Bar. Visitors are always welcome. The CC page needs to be updated - it's on my 'to do' list.

Thanks - it would be good to have a wee reminder of when and where the meetings are in the meetings section at the front of POL?? for those of us who can't remember these things for too long!
Doubt if I will make it this time, but its good to know where and when in case I might be able to come along....can I suggest it would be good to have an Agenda online each month, if possible, so people who might be interested could see if any item is relevant to them??
