Beach rugby event

Post by Bob Jefferson » 17 Nov 2005, 17:32

I have just been copied into this very interesting message regarding a proposal to hold a beach rugby event next summer. Ed, do you know anything about this?
Dear Councillor Marshall

We have received an application from the organisers of the above who wish to hold a beach rugby event on Portobello Beach on 3rd & 4th June 2006. The event would comprise of an "Adults Day" on the 3rd, with touch rugby for corporate teams, local businesses & women's teams. There would be a "Sun Children's Day" on the 4th involving children from local schools. The event would also include a stage & seating area with sponsors, prizes and stalls, refreshment stand, evening barbecue, etc.
The Director of Culture & Leisure requires your comments before giving the application his consideration.

Thank you for your assistance.

Sheila Berg

I'm sure you'll be there and I look forward to covering the event for Portabelly Telly (as it used to be called).

What about Porty and PoP? Surely M People will be providing a team?

It was a surgeon who sorted me out - not the good Lord himself! :?
