Yeah, a few Malibu's and Milk before a curry would line my stomach brilliantly.

I sent this to Lawrence a couple of weeks ago:

Lawrence,

How are you?

I floated the idea to Bob that we should invite you to the POL xmas night out, which is on the first saturday in December. He thought it would be a good idea. I thought you may enjoy meeting the faces behind the names and I do not think you will get anything other than a warm welcome.

We are going to Bonoful and there is about 25 of us I think.

What do you say?

Regards

Stephen McIntyre

Stephen,

that's very kind of you! I'm actually flying to Naples on holiday the day before (2nd December) to make my way up to Berlin and back home via Brussels on the 14th - so I'm sorry that I won't be able to make it on the 3rd. I would have liked to have had a meal with others in "Bonoful" as I've only ever been there in my councillor role! I hope your evening goes well - and please keep me in mind for future outings!

Lawrence

Thing is, Porty, he might be quite offended when he realises you invited him on the 3rd when we're all going on the 2nd...!

Edit: Sandra got there a fraction of a second before me...and is the capslock thing CATCHING? D'oh...

So let me get this straight, Porty. You've arranged to meet up for a few drinks on Friday afternoon/early evening, before a meal you don't think is happening until Saturday night? That's some binge drinking session! Now you'll have to meet Thursday instead. Good job the pubs can open 24 hours, eh?

So, is anyone up for meeting beforehand in the Assblower for a drink, say just before 7.00pm or a bit earlier?

Sorry to hear Rapunzell won't make it along. I was looking forward to meeting her (nothing to do with the promise of bespoke choccies or owt)!

Get well soon, Rapunzell.

No, no, we're much too cerebral and, ultimately, inebriated for that sort of malarkey.

I'm afraid... I can't make the curry night. I will be in the city of Leeds instead. I am disappointed about this, but there you go.

Sandra, I don't know if you had to pay a deposit or anything based on numbers, but if you did, just tell me and I'll cough up.

JP.
