Story time ....
About three weeks ago I lost the diamond from my engagement ring. I spent hours hunting for this little gem. I covered the nozzle of my hoover with a fine mesh hoping to catch the tiny object. On hands and knees I regularly examined the dining room carpet. Any friend or relative who happened to visit was forced to join in with this mission to find the missing diamond. Eventually, I gave up. I just accepted that I had lost this token of love and committment forever.....(sentimental bit).
However, on Christmas Day after opening all the presents my husband announced that there was a special little box on the tree for his loving wife(that's me). I opened it and there stuck in a clump of blue tac was the stone!
On Friday 23rd December, my husband was suffering from "the morning after the Christmas Night Out." He had spent ten minutes trying to tie his shoes when something caught his eye. Yes, you guessed, it was the missing diamond. He couldn't believe his eyes. Hangover disappeared almost instantly, Brownie Points flashed before his eyes. No need to spend £££'s replacing the stone for a quiet life from the wife.
He took the said stone to the Jeweller, but it was too late to get the ring reset, so he decided to just box the stone and wrap it.
Who said romance was dead?
