Did you get any for Xmas? What are you playing just now?

I got "Battlefield 2 - Special Forces Expansion Pack" but my main focus at the moment is Silent Hunter III, a Das-Boot-esque WW2 submarine simulation game, complete with torpedoes, stopwatches, depth charges, periscopes and binoculars.

I got LMA manager 2006 for the PS2, had a quick browse but not a decent shot of it yet. looks good tho

I just did a quick search and saw screenshots of that - it looks hilarious - "pass the bomb" and "fastest finger" plus the contestants are excellent.

The only one like this I've ever played is the ps game that comes with maracas controllers. I sucked but laughed a great deal!

I have been playing it with Rose and being honest, she is just as good at music stuff as me but I have a lot quicker reaction so I tend to buzz in first a lot.

She gets bombed a lot on Pass The Bomb and I am now at the point where I feel like I need to let her win or she will stop playing with me. On the other hand my desire to win and crush my opponent with my superior music knowledge is very strong.

My favourite is getting songs with as little an intro as possible.

The one player is also fun, you have 2 rounds, the first to build up your time, the second (a bit like Weakest Link) where you climb the ladder and "bank" points.

Current top score in my house is 12500 (me of course)

Have you ever seen that game (not a console game) where 4 people hold a metal pole - and the slowest person to press a button when the flashing light stops gets an electric shock - also if you press it too quickly?

It's battery operated, but the shock is quite nasty. I suck at that too.

Not seen that although I remember an episode of the Simpsons once where they were all hooked up to it

or something similar.

It's really fiendish. Once you have had one shock, you get nervous - and thus more likely to press the button too soon (and get shocked) and also your hands get sweaty, which (I think) means they conduct better. Meanwhile the cool, calm, evil other players with dry hands and fast reflexes just watch you suffer. Fun for all the family, depending on the family.

I also got Buzz and it has been fantastic entertainment for all the family. I never realised that Mrs PoP could be so competetive!

Didnt get any computer games, but I did get a fantastic rocket!

You fire the thing 500 foot into the air where it seperates into two peices and allows a small camera inside to take pics of the ground! It's fully re-usable and comes with a parachute.

I must admit, being 31 years old, this is the best xmas pressie since I was given the 8 metre-long balloon powered by solar energy.

I love being a child at chrimbo.

Thanks to ali, I have just re-started GTAIII from the beginning.

I don't think I ever finished it, because Vice City came out and I must have dropped it - motorbikes and helicopters were just too much fun!

Anyways, it's back to the beginning - or at least a beginning given the way the Vercetti timeline works.

Has anyone played Liberty City Stories ?

I see its due out on the PS2 on June 9th - have seen a few PSP video clips and it is set in the same city as GTAIII (well, naturally ali, that's why its called....................) anyway looks EXCELLENT and only about Â£20 from what I understand so that's nice

I had a go on it recently. I clubbed a passer-by to death, and then rode my motorbike into the river.

I might buy it as I have acquired a psp. I have got one game. It has cars in it, and is a bit boring. I object to breaking the speed limit, even in a gaming situation, and due to this fact, I haven't got very far with it.

Excellent. Progress. GTAIII replay - just found hidden package 1 of 100

Onwards and upwards I guess.

Such a lovely game to be able to dip into, play a mission, drive back to the lock up then quit til tomorrow.

edit -> this was last night, in case ali thinks I am playing this game at 8 in the morning. I wish.

I have recently spent a few hours playing Liberty City Stories on JP's PSP and it's great - the graphics look hugely improved - even on the totty wee PSP screen.

Can't wait for the PS2 version in June and I can see it on the big screen.

I'm sure it'll be good on the pc too - I can't wait to see good ol Liberty City but with the VC engine - motorbikes, helos etc.

A friend of mine downloaded what they thought was LCS for the pc but it didn't work - imagine their disappointment.

.....also got an email from Rockstar this morning trailing their new release - a table tennis game!!!!

also (and you may want to have the smelling salts ready) mentioned Vice City Stories - due Fall 2006 and GTA 4 due Fall 2007.

Finished replaying GTAIII on p.c. not so long ago although still got some packages and rampages to do if I can find them!!!! I'm not very good at the " drive by's " !! Too many things to do at the same time I think!!!!

As you can tell Black Mamba and I are playing Grand Theft Auto/ San Andreas. She is playing on her ps2 and I am playing on the x-box which I inherited from my son!!!

Course Black Mamba is much better than me, she's played it before so has an advantage!!!

I'm afraid I never managed to get beyond Sonic the Hedgehog when it comes to games. Nothing has ever compared in my opinion.

Oh, there was the tetris phase for a while, a real challenge that one.

You must have physical co-ordination way beyond mine - Sonic is far too fast for me.

At the moment I've gone back to an old (relatively - 1997/98 ) game - Dark Forces II - Jedi Knight.

I love games with a "quicksave" facility.

Having a great time playing G.T.A San Andreas. Ive just got on to the second island.
I used to play my sons game but he took it when he moved. I've now got my own copy and have had to start from scratch.

I loved the combine harverster, especially when people get in the way!!!

We more mature ladies know how to have fun.
I've also just boughy Liberty City Stories. I'll need to get Arachnid started on that one.
