bizarre audio

Weird audio from the web and beyond........

From the cringe-inducing When TV Attacks video comp; an audio excerpt of a late 80s/early 90s cooking show where the hostess (a somewhat Zolofted Martha Stewart-like hunter) gets her own food to cook up; in this case, Rocky the Squirrel gets blasted from a tree by her kid, and made into delicious after-school snax on an English Muffin with melted cheese on top. Obviously without the video, you don't get to see the skinned fella getting is "little butt" (as she says) coaxed into the pan, but the creepy tone in the creation of this delightful treat warrants an MP3

Weird is an understatement although the comment about squirrels liking nuts did make me laugh

In a holistic sense, I became portyholic when I moved here in 1999.

I think it appeared once I was wiped clean of my moderator stain and must be "awarded" once you've got a certain number of posts?

There is someone here at work who adores squirrels. When I mailed him that audio, he said bad things about the lady in the clip.

If anyone can manage to listen to more than half of this without having to stop for a break they're doing better than me. Once I heard the line "he's a cop on the edge" I was near tears.

"Voice Over" is the latest project of artist Brian Joseph Davis, who also did the Ten Banned Albums, Burned, Then Played project. In Voice Over, Davis created a text based on lines from 500 different film trailers, then gave the cut-and-pasted text to professional voiceover artist Scott Taylor to read.

Squirel's nice. Can also recommend Hedgehog (wrap it in mud and put it in the embers of a fire - peel the mud off and the spines come off with it).

From what I remember yes,

was about 13 years ago on a Scout camp.

Eskimo radio. The story and the tapes began circulating around the cassette underground in the early-eighties: an Inuit Radio station operated in Northern Canada by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) was vacated by its regular staff due to a CBC strike, and the station was temporarily programmed by its Eskimo janitor and his buddies. After some mixed Inuit-English shout-outs to "Barney, and uh, Rosey, And hello to you Bruce and Matt (more Inuit) I'm happy to you. OK, I'm singing to you Ayatollah Khomeini." This track dates the strike to 1979-1980, when Khomeini was all over the news because of the Iranian hostage crisis.
