Raunchiness - Nature or nurture
Raunchiness - Nature or nurture
A member of POL and I were out socialising recently and were (obviously) chatted up by members of the opposite sex. One particular opposite member repeatedly talked about how raunchy my POL friend looked. Over and over again, he just could not stop going on about her and her raunchiness. What I would like to know is, are you born with raunchiness, or can it be manufactured / bought.

Are you sure it wasn't you the OM was talking about?Scoop wrote: One particular opposite member repeatedly talked about how raunchy my POL friend looked. Over and over again, he just could not stop going on about her and her raunchiness.
As for raunchiness? Personally, I don't think it can be manufactured. I discussed it with PoP and we agreed that although we both definitely have the R factor, it is completely natural.
Re: Raunchiness - Nature or nurture
Unfortunately, I am quite sure the OM meant my POL pal and not me, I tried many ways to get the OM to change the subject round to me and my possible raunchiness, but he was having none of it (although the OM didn't know quite how literally at the timePorty wrote:Are you sure it wasn't you the OM was talking about?Scoop wrote: One particular opposite member repeatedly talked about how raunchy my POL friend looked. Having met both you and PoP in a similar sort of setting, I can vouch for your raunchiness.

Bob, there's a very good chance you've already done so. Sometimes her raunchiness is not so obvious, but now that I've had her raunchiness pointed out to me, I have to say that looking back, it has been there more often than not.Bob Jefferson wrote:Scoop, I think I want to meet your raunchy friend.

And we aren't confusing 'raunchiness' with 'paunchiness'?Scoop wrote:Bob, there's a very good chance you've already done so. Absolutely not. Never. Whilst I may not always have been aware of the presence of her raunchiness, I would have noticed the paunchiness, had it been there. Her stomach is as flat as an ironing board. She has almost always been able to see her toes.Bob Jefferson wrote:And we aren't confusing 'raunchiness' with 'paunchiness'?Scoop wrote:Bob, there's a very good chance you've already done so. POL football team
You mean to say that the POL football team representing the entire POL community are not the best examples of male physique?
If you are all planning to wear your POL T-Shirts I won't know whether to call you POL Bellies or Pot Bellies.

Whilst I would like to say that my stockings are always at my ankles, I fear that by saying this, this may make me sound very raunchy, and since Epykat has more or less confirmed that my raunchiness is non-existent, I think this may confuse those who do not know me. For the avoidance of doubt, I keep my rollers in when my stockings are off, and vice versa.
My granny always wore a pinny just like that..in fact Nora could be my grannyDadaist wrote:
Do you remember those shopping trolleys - the ones with two wheels?
These days the handle extends and they are called executive luggage, but I just remember mine (which was stuffed to capacity with Herald & Posts on the weeks I delivered them to houses (as opposed to the local waste ground)) as the tartan and leather "classic" version.

Oops, got me varifocals on squinty-wise and honestly thought you'd typed 'boobs' not 'boots'!Epykat wrote:I had one of those but I don't remember feeling very raunchy whilst pulling it down the road from Scotmid![]()
I've decided that although nature has a big part to play, boots have a lot to do with it
