Ivor Cutler R.I.P
I saw Ivor Cutler on a couple of occasions in the late seventies.
He was an amazing character and even back then he seemed like a shrivelled, frail old man. He cut a curious figure in his wee knitted hat, pedalling furiously away on his harmonium.
BBC4 screened his excellent farewell concert from 2004 last year. Perhaps it'll get another airing now.
He was not afraid to address the important issues in life as in the song "Everybody Got".

Everybody got a triangle of hair
But nobody talk about it
I am a quiet little unassuming man
So neither do I
But I'm thinking, thinking
Thinking 'bout it all day long
Anybody think about a thing as much as that
It's a very good reason for a song.
