Awe, never mind Susie, I was there a little earlier than you!!
From 1953 to 1960. Teachers that I had were Miss Bertroom, Miss McRobbie( boy did she live up to her name!!! Miss McCrabbit!!) and Miss Reid who was the exact opposite!!!

Why be scared????

Don't know about the wig, but she was always immaculately dressed, taught us to be polite and never used the " belt", just wrapped our knuckles with a ruler instead!!!

She was a good teacher!!

Why be scared????

I remember Miss Reid too. She always wore that green chiffon scarf thing over her immovable hair

. I remember Miss MacRobbie too and Mrs Buchan (she had thick black rimmed glasses). And I still sometimes see Mrs Cass. My last teacher (1974) was Mrs Wright - she was lovely.
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

Working backwards I reckon that I must have been in Primary 1 in year 1962/63 - so our paths may have crossed! My very first teacher was Mrs Cass, who I remember well and I can also relate to all the earlier descriptions of Miss Reid. I also remember Mr Brown the Jannie who lived in the house that used to be in the playground.
Blows my mind that I currently have kids at Towerbank after all those years!!!!!!!!!!

Justice delayed is justice denied.

When the council built the gym they promised to keep housing to a minimum. I have to say, they kept to thier word.

Do you remember Ms. Noble? I was there for P1 in 1972.
