I don't know how many of you are aware of the Homestake initiative which has been introduced by Communities Scotland? You can find out all about it here:
http://www.communitiesscotland.gov.uk/homestake
It is a programme that is designed to assist those on low incomes; approx £19,700 for a single and £25,100 for joint, to get on the property ladder. The application process is fairly straightforward and not too onerous. We have helped 3 lots of people get on the programme and the first ones moved in to their new flat on Friday
The programme is limited but there are spaces available and professionally speaking, I cannot see a downside. I am not touting for business, anyone can apply directly to Communities Scotland , there is no need to go through an intermediary. Any of you who are trying to get started or know people who are trying to get started, should investigate.
