useful phone numbers

Post by MrsMc » 29 Mar 2006, 15:52

I use google to look for phone numbers a lot rather than trawl through my phone book.

Whenever I look for something in portobello, I come to this site, or the the one with the photos of all the shops - but no fone numbers!!

I have been on to 118118 to try a number for Hearing Dogs for The Deaf to no avail. I have scanned the fab photos to see if the number is on the shop front - sometimes this works.

So, when I track down the number I'll put it in here... and maybe we can all do the same for porty places?

apologies if there is a section dedicated to this already, I have had a look around.

As the business directory stands just now it's just those who stumpted up their £20 last year (and supported this site) that have a phone number listed.

I'm sure the Admins wouldn't mind giving someone access to the db to enable them to add phone numbers for other entries?

I've even had folk leaving comments on that gallery asking to book a table or room :)

lol. Maybe if you had the fone number up, you wouldn't have that problem. ;)

I have been unsuccessful on finding a number a number for hearing dogs, I even foned the head office in Buxkinghamshire and they didn't have it.

I'll have to walk all of the 250 yards after all.

As wangi has explained, it's only the businesses who pay for entry who get full details. We decided from the outset though that charity shops could have a free entry, so if and when you do find the number I will be happy to add it, along with details of other charity shops. In fact, if you would like the job of looking after the charity shops for the directory then it is yours.
