Big read random requests

1 Marya - can you point me at your previous post re guidelines for literary criticism? It's buried here somewhere and I want to pass it on to others around the world, as well as use it myself.EDIT: found it now, thanks!

2 Moderators - could we have a separate forum bit for the Big Read stuff and pull all the threads together? There's lots of good stuff and book titles etc that I would like to mull over from time to time, but it's difficult to find all the separate threads. (I know there was some debate re a music bit in times past. But I don't care)

3 Rathbone - this is your baby, what do you think about a separate forum bit?

4 Everyone else - this is our baby too, you know. What do you think about a separate forum bit?

Having posted about it, I've now thought about it as well.

Perhaps we don't want to 'ghetto-ise' the Big Read, but we (I) do want to create an accessible archive/library of previous reads and associated posts?

So say, every 6 months (ie two reads, nowadays) threads get put in the library for later (re)consumption?

I'm quite happy to let my baby grow up and stand on its own two feet. A library archive that people can dip into and browse sounds fine. Perhaps it could have a link to Amazon so that those more obscure books could be purchased. (Just on that point, are other people now using Google Books? Masses of out of copyright material available for browsing and/or download.)
