Got a new suite!!!
She is 70 and I can't believe how excited she is, or can I?
Nowadays a new suite is not the huge deal that it used to be, is it? However, she called me yesterday and I had to hightail it up there for a deek. Its from Reid's. My mum swears they are the best in the business, even although she has not bought a new suite for about 15 years and the one that she is now offering me is her second hand parker knoll. Anyway she is happy as the proverbial pig. (it is a dark oak leather)

Yes, I can remember when getting a new suite was a major deal - as kids we were never allowed to sit on it until the novelty had worn off.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

Terribly sorry about that, Mrs Mundi must have filled my glass with gin.

“For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.â€

We never had a 'suite' - we had a couch and two chairs. Not always matching. And one contained my Dad

Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

You make a valid point. I just realised my mum hasn't got a suite, she has a sofa and a chair. Think I will be tactful and not mention it.
