Anyone else got cloudy tap water? It clears after a couple of minutes but it's still a bit disconcerting when your glass of tap water has a head on it.
Javid in Kost Konscious says people have talked about it, but I wondered how far the froth had reached its cloudy tentacles.......

Yes the cloudy tap water started about a month ago in Straiton Place. My inertia stops me from doing anything about it.

I've had this since coming to Joppa 4 years ago. The Water people investigated and found nothing wrong with it.

Perhaps we should have concerted go at them as it's affecting so many people and areas.

Hi Pete, welcome to the addictive experience of posting on the forum! I have noticed the water is pale brown - rust?? clay soil? as they changed a lot of the mains pipes to plastic it seems unlikely to be rust but can't think what else - unless....
entirely unrelated (I hope) - demo against the 'stench' from Seafield sewage works planned on June 5th, armed with, I quote from the Evg News tonight, "a giant turd attached to a model of Environment Minister Ross Finnie who has come under fire from the residents over his lack of action." It goes on to say " Chairman of Leith Links Residents' Assn said "Ross Finnie has kicked our petition on Seafield into the long grass which is not good enough" "Last month, it emerged, ministers including Mr Finnie were to be called before a committee of MSPs to answer for their lack of action over the Seafield stench. Residents have been campaigning for decades about the "rotten egg" smell from the sewage works and took their case to the Scottish Parliament.
The protest will leave Moray House on Holyrood Road on June 5th at 11am."
put you off your tap water? come to the demo and do something about the stink - particularly bad on the no 12 bus route - pity the poor folks who live downwind of it......
