Car valve caps

Post by susie » 01 Sep 2006, 10:18

Our valve caps keep going missing on our car. We know who the culprits are, 2 little blonde haired boys, one of them on a bike and he sometimes wears a hearts top. It has got past the funny stage, police will be the next to know. Children that age have to be stopped doing this sort of thing, as it will lead to bigger things in the future.

My suggestion would be to postup signs around the neighborhood and the entire town.

"REWARD for return of valve caps stolen by 2 little blonde haired boys. Please contact: (list of victims' names)"

Description obviously a bit general.. but one kid does spring to mind.... i see him around a lot. In fact - saw him and his pals (i know the rough addresses of two of them) shouting abuse and throwing eggs at a guy's house off bridge street on my way home recently. Think there were around 8 of them. If it was my house... game on - they'd be getting grabbed and marched to the police station. They are foolish though 'cause i know that two of them live within 50 metres of the guy's house....

Wouldn't happen in my day...... sigh.....

Have you tried glueing the caps on to stop them getting away with them?

No dont want to do that. I have bought more, and this lot are tightened up with a key, the little boys have tried to get them off (very persistant they are) but did'nt, so hopefully they will give up.

I reckon you should hide in the car under a blanket and next time they do it, jump out and scare the **** out of them.

Or wire the car to the mains overnight?
