I wonder what state we'll be in by the time season 3 ends. Those writers are swine, so they are.

Season 3 starts tonight in the US.

The end of Season 2 was going fine until the just casually drop the giant 4 toed statue!

A bit frustrated with it at times but hopefully this series will start as good as series 2 did.

Never used torrents before and also don't use file sharing apps either so that narrows it down a bit.
Won't be waiting till it starts here though.

Episode 1 of season 3 is supposed to be a Jack flashback where he is seen resuscitating a girl in a park. Back on the island, he is in some glass thing in a lab being experimented on by the Others.

How's that?

Given how easy it is to get the episodes on torrent, I would have thought the answer was yes!

So does this mean we need :

1. UK Lost thread (only watch when it's on here, no spoilers)

2. US Lost thread with no spoilers (watch episodes as they come out but no mentions of what's on future episodes)

3. no-holds-barred latest Lost episodes + spoilers

--> 3 threads?

Or will the people who are going to watch the shows as they come out in the US be willing to countenance spoiler chat too?

Watched Season 3, Episode 00 this morning - basically just a recap of the previous two seasons with a voiceover from someone who sounds like Kevin Spacey...

Believe it or not, I hardly watched Season 1, but I read all the episode guides!

It wasn't until Season 2 that I got hooked.

All of these pages have 'clues' and some have hidden messages - the Oceanic site has a hidden message on the homepage.

The Hanso Foundation feature heavily in Season 2. In the UK, the had tv ad's runnning in the breaks when Lost was being screened. Their strapline was "Making a better tomorrow" and their site used to be like any other corporate one although, it does appear that they are overhauling it as there is only a holding page in place now.

Any thoughts...?

So...

SPOILER ALERT! IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW PLOTS ETC - STOP READING THIS NOW...

...
We discover that the Others actually live in a proper, civilised village on The Island, where they dwell in nice houses with power, they participate in book groups and in general, have a nice time. They have regular clothes etc... We see the plane crash from their point of view. Ethan and another one of The Others are sent off to carry out the roles we already know about - ie to pretend they are survivors.

Jack, Kate and Sawyer are all being held in another Dharma compound which appears to be called 'Hydra'. They are held alone in different parts of the place. The leader of The Others tells Kate that the next two weeks are going to be '...very unpleasant'.

The 'Hydra' station appears to be a zoo/aquarium with parts of it being underwater. Hints are made that The Others are what is left of the Dharma Initiative's crew, with one of them saying that '...it was a long time ago'.

Sub plot about Jack's exwife and her involvement with his father.

Man, I can't do this justice - dl it a tell me what you think!

Great episode.
Loads more questions and very few answers as usual though!
Thought the village was going to be a flashback to someone previous life (thought it sounded very much like Locke who was the guy outside fixing the plumbing? although this doesn't seem like the case). With all the cages, it looks like this was perhaps where the polar bears were kept.

One thing that still annoys me was the security system from season 1, the thing in the jungle that they originally thought was a monster and the thing that grabbed Locke and tried to pull him undeground, it's never been seen or talked about since!

Can't wait for the next episode now!
