Hi nads

the magnoliettes have all been entertained at St Philips, and the youngest one still is:
St Philips Toddler Group

St Philips Church Hall Brunstane Road, Joppa

Debbie Smith

We meet every Friday morning during term time from 9.45 to 11.15. We have a large play area for toddlers, a separate baby corner, and an area for carers to sit and enjoy a cuppa and a biscuit. St Philips Toddler Group has been running for 25 years, and is a great place for children to meet and play, and for grown-ups to meet other parents and carers. Come along and meet us!
(Quoted from the Portobello Business Directory on the main porty.org website)

You get a reasonable class of biscuit too, if I remember correctly

Hi!
Portobello Swim Centre (on the Prom) do adult and baby swim lessons. There are several throughout the week, and are block booked. The number is 669 6888.
Portobello library do rhyme time, not sure of the exact day/time (Wednesday morning?), but it's a joining in nursery rhyme session type thingy.
There's apparently a toddler group at the Salvation Army on a Tuesday afternoon - sorry, don't know any details.
And there is also Cafe Ba on a Monday afternoon, at St. Philips. This is mostly for breastfeeding mums.
Good Luck!

Sally army toddlers used to be thurs morning, and I think the tues afternoon is an extra one. Very nice friendly group. Recommend St Philips as I used to be on the committee (in fact had a hand in persuading Mrs Magnolia to join...!). The church on Bellfield st I think has one on a Tuesday, although I never went to it, and St John's church has one on Thursdays too.
All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!
