Anyone watch this prog on BBC 4 tonight? Most of it was before my time, not that I wasn't born but it was not an option to be a P3 hippy in Christian Crescent.

The music was and is magical. I went through a phase of only listening to Woodstock, there was a lot of it. And how totally beautiful was Joni Mitchell? In every sense. No wonder Prince worshiips her.

Every year for the last 4 or 5 I have driven past Woodstock on my way upstate NY. It is in the middle of nowhere. goodness knows how 3 or 400,000 people got there and survived for 3 or 4 days.

I got very fed up with my hippy auntie forever playing the album as I grew up, smoking her "ganja, man!" and proclaiming no-one over 30 could be trusted.

I used to wish a big yellow taxi would've come along and taken HER away!

I actually have the Woodstock triple vinyl album sitting on my turntable at home. I also got a DVD of the 'happening' for Â£7.00 at Fopp. Far out, man.
