Muay Thai Classes :)

Hey there,
I just wanted to give a heads up to any of you who are looking for new and interesting exercise in the New Year. Muay Thai is a martial art from Thailand which combines boxing techniques with kicks, knees and elbows. It's perfectly safe, child, beginner and female friendly and brilliant for fitness and self defence. There's classes in Musselburgh, Meadowbank and all over Edinburgh, so check out the website if you're interested or get in touch with me and I'll point you in the right direction

Sounds good, but I couldn't see anything in my area (Kinross).
I've seen Muay Thai in action (highly recommend Tony Jaa's Ong Bak).

Sorry about that, Black Mamba - it's a shame none of them are commutable for you, because it's really worthwhile. Must admit, nothing I do much resembles what Tony Jaa's up to in Ong Bak, but he is amazing! What I wouldn't give to be able to manage a double flying knee

It'd be fantastic. I remember someone mentioned in the pub years ago that there was a martial art where you could learn this. I've been on an elusive search for it ever since.

Maybe you're right - perhaps it's like wing chun, where they only tell you the big secrets once you've trained for ages and ages and then you discover you're supposed to do it all differently...Either way, if Ong Bak is anything to go by you do learn how to fly ;p
